Recycling with style

A trip to Alingsås
Yesterday, we visited the second hand store Göstas Koffert in Alingsås, which only is open once a month. Quite a long trip for quite a small store, but it was indeed a very nice little store, and I did find some nice (and I think quite cheap) stuff, like this bowl:

Is purple the new black?
Quite a few of my friends seem to have selected purple as their new favorite accent color at home. This kids room is a great example of the style I like. I especially like the notice-board and the patchwork pillows. I’ve been meaning to sew something like that for quite some time now but haven’t gotten around to it. Perhaps tomorrow?…

This is the second time we’ve used the open stove :-)
The sofa actually looks quite nice from a distance (when you don’t see the scratchmarks that our cat Curry has made).

Photosession at home
Today we had a professional photographer at home to shoot our apartment. We’re looking to buy another one and wanted to be prepared to sell (especially since they’re going to be renovating the balconies all fall). We haven’t seen the result yet but needless to say we’re very eager. For now you’ll have to settle with some pics I took myself.

Also on my wishlist - baskets from Afroart
I wish Afroart had a store here in Gothenburg so that I could get one of their lovely bread baskets, made in Pakistan and Uganda. It would look really nice on our hall room side table (an old one from the sixties which we bought second hand) and I could use it for storing my bracelets and stuff. In search of a new rug for our livingroom
We’re looking to replace our livingroom rug, since it’s seen its best days. I’m thinking a so called “trasmatta” in multicolor would be perfect, having small children and all - the’re washable and stains will hopefully not be so visible because of the multicolor. Also they’re pretty.
