A mirror from Västerås
This week I made a short trip to the Swedish city Västerås, for work. Had a moment to walk around town just before catching the train home and luckily enough I stumbled upon a nice little thriftstore, where I found this mirror. Just 80 SEK, which, compared to the prices in this town, I think is quite cheap.

Chairs, chairs, chairs
We’ve gotten some more stickback chairs for our living room. But they looked much better in the kitchen so we decided to make a switch. These ones are black so now we’re thinking of painting the white ones black as well. I like black better than white, although I think they might look good in other colors as well.

Kids chairs and jacket
Today we’ve started the day with a visit to a thrift store. Note to self: don’t bring the entire family to an extremely crowded thrift store… But even so we managed to find these kids chairs for just 20 crowns each. Perfect for Ester’s room. Finding second hand stuff for the kids is pretty easy and much more fun (not to mention cheaper) than buying new stuff.

Ecological beak boots
Last winther I searched all over for ecological and warm shoes, without any luck. Recently I found these beak boots, via UnderbaraClara. They’re cool, ecological, look comfy, and according to Clara, they’re also warm. Perhaps next year?

Finally the weekend
The kids are better from the chickenpox and it’s finally friday again. This weekend we have nothing special planned. Perhaps I’ll try to visit some thrift stores or fleamarkets tomorrow. We’re still searching for more chairs for our dining room table.

Today we’ve put up some new shelves above our TV. We’ve really started to like these kind of small shelves. They make it so easy to rearrange stuff.

Yesterday
Yesterday was a productive day. First off I finally did some sewing (probably the first time since we moved here). It was really fun, so I must try to do it more often. Swell
On my way to work every day for the last couple of months I’ve walked by a furniture store that has this amazingly cool sacco chair/armchair in their window. It’s called Swell by designers Form us with love. Normally I don’t like sacco chairs, except in children rooms, but I wouldn’t mind having one of these in our living room.

Snow
After a couple of days with warmer weather we got some more snow last night. So today it was really beautiful outside when I walked to work:

Shelf number three and stickback chairs

Something old and something new
On the bottom shelf are two of my Christmas presents: a brand new Darth Vader that I got from my wonderful family, who share my love for Nintendo (not that Darth has got anything to do with Nintendo but I also got Yoshi, Super Mario and Luigi; you can spot two of them to the right), and an old wooden shelf.
