Is bigger always better?

Just like the author of elements of style I like small spaces (although I can’t say I share her fascination of tiny objects). Unlike most people I know who seem to think that bigger is always better when it comes to living space. For myself it’s both that I find it easier to live my life “green” if I don’t have to much space to fill up with stuff I don’t really need (not to mention warm up) and that I’m lazy so I don’t want to have too much space to look after. Sure, you have to be well organized if you’re living in a small apartment, but I still find that easier than to manage a big aparment/house.

A part from that, a smaller apartment means that I can afford to live closer to my workplace, i.e. I don’t have to travel as much. This means more time with my family and, since everything is close by, I hardly ever need the car.

Anyways, the apartment below seems to be a good example of a small space that’s both stylish and well planned. Aparently it’s from my homecountry, Sweden (according to one of the comments). I’m not surprised - it lookes quite Scandinavian. I also must say that I like the floors very much, we’re gonna have floors like that in our new apartment - yay!
