Not surprised…

…but very disappointed that the COP15 climat meeting in Copenhagen doesn’t seem to lead to anything concrete at all…

Makes me think of a great documentary (uppdrag granskning) I saw on Swedish TV a couple of weeks ago. It’s about how the leading politicians in our country are very inclined to make big but empty speaches about how we all must put in an effort and work really hard to prevent further global warming only when it comes to making actual changes the policy they promote is going in the opposite direction, supporting more roads instead of improving public transportation for example. It seems to be considered political suicide to actually make the changes necessary.

Let’s just hope that people are more inclined to change than the leading politicians think and that we are willing to make some sacrifices for this cause. Unfortunately, I think we do need some political bold decisions supporting the matter as well.
