Choosing a new rug

We’re in need of a new rug for our new livingroom. The one we have now has seen its best days (but will probably live on under the dining room table). I would really like to have a big rag rug but can’t seem to find any in the size and color I want, that doesn’t cost a mere fortune. Like the wonderful Kevin rug from Kateha:

Having both small children and a cat sort of rules any expensive rugs out. In a more reasonable price range is Rand from Ikea:

Or one of Himla’s rugs. I especially like Särö, a basic woven cotton rug that comes in several nice colors this spring:

I’ve also seen that Mio has a rag rug in denim, that looks rather nice (although I’ve never seen it irl):

None of the cheaper ones are organic or sustainable (as far as I know) so I’m not totally satisfied with buying any of them. Finding second hand rugs isn’t easy either since I’m quite picky with what I want. Does anyone have any tips of where to find sustainable rugs?
