String shelf in the kitchen

Originally we planned to have simple white wall hanged shelves in the kitchen, but today we decided to go in a different direction and put up one of our String shelves instead. It turned out very nicely, I think. Below the shelf is our own recycling station, consisting of two big white bins.

Now we’re only missing some artwork to hang above the table, a kitchen lamp (perhaps a Verner Panton Flower pot, in yellow - according to Solrum, they’ve been on sale in a local Gothenburg store. I have to stop by there tomorrow to see if there are any left.) and a cabinet besides the fridge. Tomorrow we’ll have some carpenters coming over to discuss the cabinet, since it has to be custom made (and we’re not that crafty).
