Great kitchen

I really like this kitchen, especially the light, the open shelves and the combination of different chairs.

Hmm, I wonder if Eames-chairs are cat-proof; i.e. if they can resist scratch marks? Seems like they might be both kids- and cat-proof. By the way, how come you always see cats in pictures like these, but the furniture and stuff always seem to be in perfect condition? I realize that it’s sometimes hard to tell all flaws from a picture (I’ve been to enough apartment showings to know that pictures do lie) but still; it amazes me that people seem to have really expensive design furniture even though they have both pets and kids. We don’t want to buy anything really expensive unless it’s a pendant or something, that is out of both children and cats reach. Or perhaps all those cats are actually props, brought in by the stylist. :-)

We did a small make over in our own kitchen after the party yeasterday; we swithed to that purple rug. Haven’t decided if it was for the better just yet though. It’s hard to find a rug the right size, since our kitchen table is quite small.
