1. Clock and pillow

Yesterday’s trip to Ikea resulted in a clock and a bigger pillow for Eowyn (so that all her favorite teddybears can sleep beside her).

She also needs a bigger bed, perhaps this one? I like old vintage child beds better (like the one she’s got now) but they’re often quite small.

Another new project around here is a bigger noticeboard for the kitchen. Since I can’t seem to find one the right size, we’re going to build it ourselves. Any tips on what material to use? Found this instruction, but I’d rather not have it covered with fabric. I do like noticeboards covered with fabric but for our kitchen I had something else in mind.

  2. Wooden beads

I’ve got a bad cold so I’m too tired to do something myself right now. Instead I suggest you check this diy-project out over at Poppel’s blog - love it!:

  3. Cat decoration from I love Peggy

Check out Malin’s (I love Peggy) place at Rearranged design! The cat is a favorite of mine, as soon as Ester grows a little bit bigger (and/or stops wrecking everything…) I’m going to make something similar to decorate Curry’s eating place.

The pale blue/green shade on the pantry door is also great as well as the white lamp and string shelf.

  4. Another re-made shelf

Decorated another shelf today. This one is for my niece, Emma, who’s going to get it for her 5th birthday, which is in a couple of weeks. Bought the shelf on the local fleamarket earlier this year and decorated it with some vintage wallpaper and wrapping papers. I hope she’ll like it!

  5. Not far from here…

…there’s a very nice apartment for sale. The vintage sofa almost makes me regret going for one from Ikea. But only almost, I’m actually quite pleased with our decision. :-)

I also like the colorfull artwork above the sofa. Looks like some of them might be by Marika Lang?

This kidsroom is also great. The corner with all the pillows looks very cozy.

  7. A home in Norway

Via From Scandinavia with love I found these pictures of a Norwegian home. The sofa seems to be the exact same dark grey color as the one we have spotted. I like it! I also like the photo-wall, the white painted floors and the bright yellow chairs. Hm, maybe I should try to get that door painted before the holiday is over? It is on our todo-list but we haven’t gotten around to it just yet…

  8. A new favorite book?

Today I stumbled upon this really nice book, Detaljer hemma by Annika Huett and Ulf Huett Nilsson. Might even become a new favorite. :-)

  9. All the luck in the world

I recently discovered All the luck in the world (via the great finish blog Varpunen). A webshop filled with beautiful re-cycled things. You can buy them or get inspired to start doing something similar yourself. Via the blog I found these pics of the owner’s home:

  10. Re-made drawer

I love this re-made drawer from Briggs Lekehus so much I might steal the idea:

Here’s the drawer before the makeover, pretty ordinary looking:

    The dollhouse is equally great!
