1. Pennants in Eowyn’s room. I know that they are everywhere right now, and have been for some time, but I really, really love pennants (as well as light garlands… oh I love light garlands…). I think I’m going to take out the sewing machine and make some more soon. Or perhaps I should make some out of paper?

  4. Road trip in Finland and new tattoos

Today I’m searching for beautiful tattoo designs (I have an old tattoo around my ankle which I’m thinking of covering up with something I like better). I like classical old style tattoos, like hearts and banners and roses and sparrows, if you get the idea. Any ideas upon where to find inspiration?

Once in a while I stop and take a Road trip in Finland instead:

  5. Black-and-white kitchen

I love the kitchen over att Fjeldborg’s. Especially the colorful accents and the small shelves.

It’s not only our Danish neighbors that has a great sense of style, the Norwegians does too! :-)

  7. Another favorite on sale

I found another one of my favorites, this pouf from Mingla, also on sale a while ago. Since I hadn’t found it at all before, I was very pleased just to find a reseller. I got two of them, in blue. Perfect as extra seating for the kids.

  8. New oilcloth

One of my favorite patterns was on sale at Tiogruppen so we went ahead and ordered a new oilcloth for our dining room table. This is the third oilcloth we get from Tiogruppen, the last one has served us well for the last four or five years but now it’s time for a change, and a little bit more color.

  9. Maximizing storage

We’re thinking of getting a new bookcase; to maximize storage we want one that covers an entire wall in our living room. Unfortunately the bookcases we have today are no longer sold so we’re going to have to sell/donate those and go for a new solution.

Normally I’m a big fan of wall mounted shelves, but since we have a temporary (?) blocked door behind the shelves (with a shelf on the other side) that’s not an option.

Inspired by, amongst others, Brinja’s home, I think we might go for an all-white-cover-the-entire-wall solution:

Having something custom built would probably be the nicest solution but that’s just too expensive. Right now we’re thinking of getting a bunch of Billy’s from Ikea and then cover the left over space on the sides (and perhaps on top?) to make it fit exactly. Does someone have any other tips on where to get (preferably rather cheap…) white bookcases like these?
