Earth hour
Tonight it’s earth hour, so we’re going to shut down all electrical light and light some candles instead. Makes me think of last year, when we we’re ill and went to bed before it all started. The year before that we played board games, that was nice.

Help the kids
Today we’ve been playing outside. Still a lot of snow/ice/water all over the playground, but it’s getting warmer. Spring is getting here, albeit slowly. And I’ve “won” some really nice second hand sheets on an online auction (show you later).
Seeing and reading the news from e.g. Egypt-Libya-Tunisia and now Japan really puts a perspective on second hand-findings and shopping-spree-joy though. One way to make a little bit of difference and help people in other parts of the world is through e.g. unicef, who works with helping those who almost always need it the most, the kids.
Birthday Party!
Today we have celebrated the birthdays of our two daughters (which in reality occurs during next week). Eowyn turns 3 years and Ester turns 1. Hurray!
This is us waiting for the guests to arrive.

The two yellow table cloths are thrifted at Myrorna. They didn’t cover the entire table so we used some left over fabrics in between.

Balloons are the best thing ever!

The dolls are moving
Just like us the dolls in the dollhouse are also moving, the moving bus has already been packed with all of their stuff.

Some days are worse than others
After I wrote my post yesterday, I started thinking about the catastrophy in Haiti. Feels strange that my life is so good at the same time as miljons of others are in desperate need of help (even though that’s always the case with everything going on in the world). In cases like these giving money always feels like the easy way out for me but I hope and think that it makes at least a little difference (someday I would like to do more for some cause as well).
I hope everybody helps out (for example here) even if this catastrophy does not affect us here in Sweden as directly as the tsunami-catastrophy in 2004 did.
Some days are better than others

Currently I’m very happy with basically all aspects of my life; I have a fantastic family, an interesting new job, we’re moving to a new apartment in a part of the city that I really like - feels like I’ve arrived at the sunny tomorrow. :-)
