Quiet

I’ve been quite busy since I started working after my vacation and it’s been a bit quiet here. Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon. Here’s some pictures from the last couple of weeks. Also, check out Babiekins magazine, where Ester’s room is featured under Room envy.

Flea market finds

Some of my flea market finds from this summer:

Two new jars, the red-white-striped one and the orange-brown one with flowers. Johan thinks we have too many but there’s always use for more jars, don’t you agree?

Coffee cups.

This orange ragrug was given away for free from some moving neighbours. Perfect for Ester’s room.

A new kids table

Our diningroom has gotten a new seating area for Eowyn and Ester. A good complement to our big dining table, where we usually sit and do crafts; even though it’s big it sometimes isn’t big enough for two… I’m thinking of re-painting the new table later on, and probably get some other chairs, these ones are kind of needed in Eo and Ester’s rooms.

Antikladan

Last weekend I went on a little trip up the coast with some friends. On the way home we stopped by a really nice second hand store called Antikladan. Well worth a visit if you’re passing by. Got two more jars with hearts on them, one green and one pink (we already had a pink one but you can never have too many jars, can you?).

Today was the annual huge fleamarket in our neighbourhood. Lots and lots of people, fun and good bargains. Too little cash was the only thing that stopped me :-) Eowyn and Ester got tired right away though, Eo got a barbapapa-boardgame and then she just wanted to go home and play the game. Today was also mother’s day here in Sweden so I got some nice presents this morning. Right now we’re all a bit tired.

Hello Friday Night. Hello Freddie.

It’s friday night and we’re hanging with Freddie!

Let them have chocolate cake!

Johan is in Stockholm working so the kids and I are home alone. Busy busy. Every time Johan is away I take the easy way out, this time with panncakes for dinner and chocolate cake for dessert - even though it’s an ordinary tuesday. Anything to make things go smoother.

I’m actually really impressed with how single parents manage. It’s hard work taking care of two small kids all by yourself, even if you skip all the usual nagging about not-eating-your-vegetables (although our kids actually love vegetables, so that’s not really an issue, but you know what I mean). Of course, I know I could do it if I had to, but I’m really glad I don’t have to. So extra credit to all you single parents out there - I wish I could share some chokolate cake with you. :-)

Books on display.

Melman, Marty, Gloria and Alex. After Johan’s last work trip we have all the stars of our favorite movie!

And we’ve ordered a copy of Carl/Freddie - Yeah (as Eowyn would say)!

A new cabinet in the hallway

When we got the new bookcases this cabinet did no longer fit in our living room,
so it has moved into the hallway instead. It’s nice to have some more storage there.
