The new bookcases are finally in place - and so are all of our books.
The new bookcases…
…have arrived. Eowyn and Ester are very happy playing inside them. They’re not fully put together just yet, as you can see. Otherwise we’ve spent most of our time outdoors latetly (apart from when we’ve been working of course), enjoying the nice, warm spring.
Happy Easter everybody!

Look - we have new cool shoes AND a new cool hideout!
Piles of books
We’ve piled up all our books (well, not all of them, we still have quite a lot more) in our bedroom, awaiting the new bookshelves. We decided to go for Hemnes from Ikea, in white. Hopefully we’ll get them before next weekend, so that we can use the easter holiday to put them together.

PS. If you were wondering what was in the gift for my niece? It was a soccer goal. :)
Color and daylight
Today I’ve been looking through the latest Dos Visit, really, really cool apartment, full of color. Go check it out! I want to have a multicolored, striped rug like the one they have in the hallway. And everything else is also wonderful.
Here’s some color from our own apartment. I like it that summertime makes it possible to take more pictures in daylight:

Earth hour
Tonight it’s earth hour, so we’re going to shut down all electrical light and light some candles instead. Makes me think of last year, when we we’re ill and went to bed before it all started. The year before that we played board games, that was nice.

Pennants in Eowyn’s room. I know that they are everywhere right now, and have been for some time, but I really, really love pennants (as well as light garlands… oh I love light garlands…). I think I’m going to take out the sewing machine and make some more soon. Or perhaps I should make some out of paper?
Säkert!
Last night we went to a Säkert!-concert. It was really, really good. Säkert!, a female Swedish pop artist, is somewhat of a genius when it comes to both lyrics and pop tunes. If you don’t understand Swedish I can recommend her songs in English, then she’s called Hello Saferide.
Today we’ve been to Ikea, but the queues were too long so we didn’t get anything, but we did have an irl look at those Hemnes bookcases. Right now we’re getting ready to watch the Swedish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest and eat some crisps.
I hope you’re all having a nice weekend!

The pictures have nothing to do with Säkert!, I just though they we’re rather nice.
Another favorite on sale
I found another one of my favorites, this pouf from Mingla, also on sale a while ago. Since I hadn’t found it at all before, I was very pleased just to find a reseller. I got two of them, in blue. Perfect as extra seating for the kids.

New oilcloth
One of my favorite patterns was on sale at Tiogruppen so we went ahead and ordered a new oilcloth for our dining room table. This is the third oilcloth we get from Tiogruppen, the last one has served us well for the last four or five years but now it’s time for a change, and a little bit more color.
