Ecological beak boots

Last winther I searched all over for ecological and warm shoes, without any luck. Recently I found these beak boots, via UnderbaraClara. They’re cool, ecological, look comfy, and according to Clara, they’re also warm. Perhaps next year?

Yesterday

Yesterday was a productive day. First off I finally did some sewing (probably the first time since we moved here). It was really fun, so I must try to do it more often. I also took the time to cover Eo’s notice board with some fabric (even though it’s so crowded most of the time the notice board itself doesn’t show).

I also found a shelf, and some cool retro curtains, at a newly opened local second hand store. We’re going to hang it in our hallway for our mittens, hats and stuff.

Last but not least we rearranged on our walls once again… Apple papple has moved into Ester’s room.

Saturday and a new rug

Yesterday I found this nice rag-rug at a second hand store. And today we’re having pizza for lunch.

Swell

On my way to work every day for the last couple of months I’ve walked by a furniture store that has this amazingly cool sacco chair/armchair in their window. It’s called Swell by designers Form us with love. Normally I don’t like sacco chairs, except in children rooms, but I wouldn’t mind having one of these in our living room.

Sunday

This weekend has been really good, and I hope you all have had a good one as well. Yesterday we went to the Håkan Hellström concert here in Gothenburg. Two and a half hour of pure joy. Today we went for a swim at an indoor waterpark with my brother and his family. Two hours of pure joy in a slightly different way. :-)

We’ve also managed to put up the two lamps we bought on tradera last week:

Rag rug

Found a nice rag rug for Eo’s room at Lagerhaus, made of 90% recycled material.

We need a lamp to sit beside our TV. I really like this yellow one from Oddbirds:

Something missing

I always felt there were something missing around our bedroom mirror. This light ornament was another one of my purchases from the Stockholm trip last weekend. (The iIllustrations to the left are from Johanna B and Little studio. In the mirror; “I ♥ TV” in reverse, from Sammy Rose.)

Stockholm shopping

The past weekend I’ve visited friends in Stockholm. A weekend filled with lots of shopping and hanging out at cafées and restaurants with good friends. The shopping was perhaps a bit over the top, but at least some of it was vintage/second hand or sustainable (for example; leggings made out of recycled cotton at Lindex). We found a really nice second hand store on Södermalm, close to where my friend lives, filled with great things. I could have bought a lot more, and I probably would have, had it not been for the train-trip home. :-) Not that expensive either, considering the location.

A tray with birds (95 sek).

A second hand jar (95 sek) and a toilett bag (from 10 gruppen).

A brown plastic mirror (175 sek).
