Let them have chocolate cake!

Johan is in Stockholm working so the kids and I are home alone. Busy busy. Every time Johan is away I take the easy way out, this time with panncakes for dinner and chocolate cake for dessert - even though it’s an ordinary tuesday. Anything to make things go smoother.

I’m actually really impressed with how single parents manage. It’s hard work taking care of two small kids all by yourself, even if you skip all the usual nagging about not-eating-your-vegetables (although our kids actually love vegetables, so that’s not really an issue, but you know what I mean). Of course, I know I could do it if I had to, but I’m really glad I don’t have to. So extra credit to all you single parents out there - I wish I could share some chokolate cake with you. :-)

Books on display.

Melman, Marty, Gloria and Alex. After Johan’s last work trip we have all the stars of our favorite movie!

And we’ve ordered a copy of Carl/Freddie - Yeah (as Eowyn would say)!

Yesterday we got Luigi and Koopa Troopa as a gift from a friend. Goes very well together with Super Mario and Bob-omb, who we already had.

Tintin et Milou

I got Tintin and Milou as a gift from Johan the other day! I love both action figures, Tintin, and space/science fiction, so of course I adore these two in their little orange space suits. Eowyn commented on the oxygen tubes: “There are their drinking bottles.” She was quite pleased that even the dog had its own backpack and drinking bottle with him.

Even though they’re mine they now live on Ester’s shelf, next to the moon rocket she got for christmas. :-)

Little Wanderer

For a while now I’ve been obsessing about “Little wanderer” by Yoshitomo Nara. They’re hard to get by and quite expensive when you find them on eBay. But maybe some day I will get one. Probably best if I don’t, since I don’t get to keep any of my toys to myself any longer. The downside of having kidsĀ  ;-) (no I’m not one of those parents who put fancy toys out of their kids reach).
